Funtunfunefu Art Stay 

Funtunfunefu Art Stay is a year round multidisciplinary arts residency space that brings together Ghanaian and international artists in the local community of Kokrobite, Ghana. 

International artists can immerse themselves in Ghanaian culture and connect with local residents as an inspiration for their work. Ghanaian artists can connect with artists from all over the world. 

Operating as an NGO, Funtunfunefu Art Stay’s main function is to promote the creation and sharing of contemporary African art created in Ghana. Funtunfunefu Art Stay offers a safe space where both local and international artists can immerse themselves in their creative craft while sharing ideas and exchange skills.  The space offers an Artist in Residency program, scholarships for Ghanaian artists, private and group studios, art exhibitions, free art workshops that benefit local schools, art talks, and an annual writing conference. While open to all artists, Funtunfunefu Art Stay is particularly interested in inviting artists whose work fosters dialogue about the development of opportunities for women and girls.
